The following were the verses:

First verse:
“Sirr–e–Khafi ka jisko niyaz ho,
Wahdaniyat ain gark ho, gaflat se baaz ho,
Hove agar Namaz toh, aisi Namaaz ho”

The second verse was:
“Jis pe na Zer Zabar hai, na Jazm Tashdeed hai,
Who Siyah hai na Safed hai, woh harf – nukta kaun sa hai.”

Hazrat Qutub Shah Armaan Rd. immediately replied by writing the answer as follows:

First verse answer;
“Band–e-Khuda Khayyam jo behre Namaaz ho,
Pesh–e-Nazaar tasawwur-e-Bande Nawaaz ho,
Dil duniyanvi kahyal se yaklakht baaz ho,
Maqfi rahe na ishq mein afsha raaz ho,
Ae aashiqon Namaaz bhi aisi Namaaz ho.”

Second verse answer;
“ Manzil-e-Maqsood ki dil mein agar umeed hai,
Salikan-e-rahe Haqq ki lazmi takleed hai,
Gaur se samjho isko bas yahi Takked hai,
Yeh wahi berangi nukta hai jo siyah hai na safed hai,
Aur isi se aashiqon ki khas lutf-e-deed hai”
